Conrail Office Car Special passing HARRIS tower

A picture of Ralph R. Watts, Sr., father of former chapter member (now deceased) Ralph R. Watts and grandfather of former chapter member Randy Watts. Randy Watts provides this information on the photo: it was taken in 1938, as recently confirmed. Ralph Sr. was born in 1890 and died in 1955. He worked a rotating shift and also worked at State Tower. In his right hand, he holds the plug for engaging into the operators desk receptacle the headset he is wearing around his neck.
